Billy Ray Cyrus says his daughter Miley Cyrus’ massive success as Disney darling Hannah Montana led to the destruction of his personal life.
“I’ll tell you right now — the damn show destroyed my family,” Cyrus, who filed for divorce from wife Tish, tells the March issue of GQ magazine. “I should have been a better parent. I should have said, ‘Enough is enough — it’s getting dangerous and somebody’s going to get hurt.’ I should have, but I didn’t. Honestly, I didn’t know the ball was out of bounds until it was way up in the stands somewhere.”
Cyrus also wants to make one thing clear: “For the record, I’ve never made a dime off of Miley.”
C’mon Son! You play a character in the Hannah Montana show! So you didn’t get a check for that? You just showed up to set every day saying those stupid lines and did it for free. Or just to help your daughters career. Speaking of daughter, I know as a minor she wasn’t getting paid directly. When has that ever happened in show biz? You got paid and you know it. Save that for someone who believes you.

Kay first of all he made 12,000 a show in the beginning of production and by the end was only making 15,000 while the show was raking in MILLIONS. Second of all you can have the money made for a child star put directly into an account solely for the child, case and point the OLSON TWINS they made hundreds of millions when they were children and their parents got NONE. So get your facts straight you stupid gossiping muckraking POS. Thanks.
roseee – regardless of how he and his daughter was paid and where the money went it, is a flat out lie to say he “never made a dime” off his daughter. directly or indirectly that talentless loser’s bank account has significantly benefited from his daughter’s uber-fame. he has been along for the ride from day 1, to deny that is flat out stupidity
math question – how many dimes does it take to make $12k or $15k? i think a couple…..
